I'm a PhD and dual-degree engineer from Arts et Métiers, driven above all by curiosity. Over the years I've moved between flight simulators, drones, electric aircraft, 3D printing, foundry work and multiphysics simulation — always drawn to problems where physics and software meet. Today at ITURCEMI GRUPO, I build digital twins that combine hands-on industrial experience with process simulation and data analysis, working toward an industry that is more innovative, reliable and sustainable.

Professional Experience

  1. 2018 – Present

    Process, Digitalization & Simulation Engineer

    Iturcemi → ITURCEMI GRUPO (formerly deltaDigital Systems) · Gijón & Avilés, Spain

    2018–2023 · Industrial and Process Digital Simulation Engineer. Commissioning of ArcelorMittal's Gijón coke batteries: digital twin with Siemens SIMIT (+1000 sensors/actuators), control-room operator training, factory acceptance testing of the PCS7/WinCC automation system, control-room support and troubleshooting. Pre-design of an ArcelorMittal Avilés graphene plant: feasibility study, modeling, and a SIMIT digital twin.

    2023–Present · Process & Digitalization Engineer. Started as Process Engineer at deltaDigital Systems and moved into a Digitalization Engineer role as the company became ITURCEMI GRUPO. Delivered a digital twin of a Ca(OH)₂-based decarbonation system (Unity, Python), a traceability solution for a zinc electrolysis plant (PI System), and a techno-economic digital twin of the graphene plant. More recently: an operator training simulator for a sugar refinery (Siemens SIMIT, PCS7), oxygen-lance simulation for blast furnace start-ups across Europe, a TIA Portal/WinCC migration with a physics-based digital twin for a biogas unit, and a pump efficiency monitoring solution (Python, Grafana, InfluxDB).

    Research Engineer

    Study of the low-pressure casting process of magnesium alloys using 3D-printed sand molds, leading to casting rules limiting inclusion, misrun and shrinkage defects.
